What is Parcell?
The Parcell mobile app allows you to package data in virtual parcels and assign them to a GPS location. A parcel can contain any type of media including pictures, audio recordings, text, video and more.
Stationary parcels
You can drop the parcel you've created wherever you want, allowing other Parcell users to view its contents and add their own content to it. Use this to mark the location you are at with information that's important to you, to your friends or to your community. Parcels add value to recipients notifying them when they are near a relevant parcel and reminding them of the content sent weeks or months prior.
Movable parcels
Alternatively, you can drop a parcel and make it movable. Other users can then pick it up, add content and drop it somewhere else. You can track your parcel as it travels the globe, see the content users are adding to it and chat with them.
Sharing
Sync with popular social apps - instead of just sending your friends pictures of food, drop a parcel with a recommendation or a warning of what to avoid. They will get that information instantly, and be notified again when they arrive at that location when the information is needed.
Communities
Join a community of likeminded people or create your own communities. Get trusted recommendations and advice from your community when and where you need it. By assigning a parcel to a community you can allow a parcel to be viewed only by members of that community. Anyone can create a community based on their interests. Communities can be public - allowing anyone to join, or private - shared only with people you select.
Custom Parcels
Care to have more control over the parcels you create? You can create parcels that can't be edited, parcels that self destruct, and more... Set up a scavenger hunt for your friends or community that take you from parcel to parcel. Customize walking tours of a city peppered with interesting facts about the things at that location. You can filter parcels you see based on type, communities, individuals, etc.
